How it smells
Saffron and rose at the top, which is the classic Middle Eastern opening, and then oud, in a rounded, slightly sweet form rather than a sharp medicinal one. That makes it welcoming even if you have never worn the material before.
Amber and woods underneath give it weight without sharp edges. This is oud arranged for someone who has never worn oud before, and as an introduction to the genre it is genuinely well made at the price.
