The agreement, in plain language.
Ordering from this site means accepting what is on this page. We have kept it readable on purpose — a term you cannot understand is not a term you meaningfully agreed to.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by The Redolence Place, an online fragrance retailer based in Lagos, Nigeria. Contact: theredolenceplace0@gmail.com or 09159182637. We have no walk-in premises.
2. Ordering
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm payment and dispatch. We may decline an order — with a full refund — if an item has sold out, if a price was listed in error, or if we cannot verify the delivery details.
You must be 18 or older to order. Checkout is guest-only; you are responsible for the accuracy of the contact and address details you enter.
3. Pricing
Prices are in Nigerian Naira and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and shown before payment. We can change prices at any time, but never after you have paid — the price you were charged is the price that stands.
Fragrance pricing moves with import costs and the exchange rate. If a listed price is obviously wrong — a bottle at a tenth of its value — we will contact you and either honour it, offer the correct price, or refund you in full. We will not simply take the money and stay silent.
4. Stock and availability
Stock counts shown on product pages are real and updated as orders are placed. In rare cases an item may sell out between your adding it to a cart and completing checkout; the checkout re-checks stock and will tell you before charging. If we discover a shortfall after payment, we refund that item in full within one working day.
5. Authenticity
Everything we sell is genuine, sourced from authorised distributors or verified importers, and supplied sealed in original packaging. We do not sell replicas, refills, decanted “originals” or unauthorised reformulations, and we do not describe an inspired-by fragrance as anything other than what it is.
Batch variation is a genuine feature of some fragrances, Creed in particular. Where it is known to matter we say so on the product page, and we will tell you the batch code before you pay if you ask.
6. Descriptions
Longevity, projection and season figures are honest observations from wearing the fragrance, not guarantees. Skin chemistry, weather and how much you apply all change the outcome, sometimes substantially. A fragrance performing differently on you than described is not a fault and is not grounds for return under section 8 — it is the nature of the product.
Product images are representative. Placeholder imagery is used where our own photography is not yet available, and bottle design may be revised by the manufacturer without notice.
7. Payment
Payment is taken through Paystack by card, bank transfer or USSD. We never see or store card details. Your order is not confirmed until Paystack reports the payment as successful. If money leaves your account but the order does not confirm, send us the reference and we will trace it and either release the order or refund you the same day.
8. Returns
Sealed and unused items can be returned within 48 hours of delivery. Opened fragrance cannot be returned unless it is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. Full detail, including how refunds are paid, is in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Delivery
Fees and timelines are published on the delivery page and form part of these terms. Timelines are estimates in working days, not guarantees; couriers and road conditions are outside our control. Risk passes to you on delivery.
10. Discount codes
Codes are subject to their stated minimum spend and expiry, cannot be exchanged for cash, and one code applies per order unless we say otherwise. We may withdraw a code at any time, but a code correctly applied to a completed order stands.
11. Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, and nothing here removes any right you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
Fragrance is for external use on skin or clothing. Patch-test if you have sensitive skin, keep bottles away from heat and flame, and stop using anything that causes a reaction.
12. Intellectual property
The text, photography, layout and the TRP mark on this site belong to The Redolence Place. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products we sell. Our product descriptions are original work — please do not lift them.
13. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to interfere with the site, place fraudulent orders, or scrape the catalogue for resale. We may refuse service to anyone doing so.
14. Changes
These terms may be updated; the version in force is the one published when you place your order. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes fall to the Nigerian courts. We would much rather settle anything directly — message us first.
